oh blogger how I have neglected thee!

Picking up from where we left off, my mother came home last week from the hospital and I haven't gone to see her yet for reasons only a select few know. I'm gonna just have to "bite the bullet" and do it soon enough or I'll just be creating more drama.

Jill and I have been having more discussions about moving out and have narrowed our choice to an apartment complex between Lansing and East Lansing that will be in the middle of everything and not too far from where we are now. The next step now is to tell my roommates in a couple of weeks after we get things figured out. That's not going to be a fun talk.

Saturday I was busy with our annual fund raising dinner for work. Our keynote speaker was John Edwards who seemed to have a lot of great ideas on how to turn things around but doesn't every politician? (President Bush excluded, we all knew he was no good to start). The event went smoothly for the most part and now that I have it behind me, work is not going to be that bad for at least another 6 months. 2008 however....*shudder*

update

My mother has been released from the hospital as of yesterday. Now while this should be a joyous occasion it really just presents a whole new set of problems. Some of you I've already talked about this with and to the rest of you, I'm going to leave it at that. I just hope drastic action wont have to be taken.

nothing ever comes easy

To those who read my account:

My mother was recently placed on the donor list about 2 months ago to recieve a new kidney and wouldn't you know it, the second I'm out of town on Friday she recieves a call that there is one available so she to the hospital friday and went through surgery this morning and is currently staying in Grand Rapids. Thankfully Jill was understanding enough to drive me back to Lansing from her parents house and now I can visit her tomorrow morning and possibly monday.

To say this weekend has been exhausting is quite an understatement.

I'll update whats going on as I recieve news.
