whew!
I'm not going to start this out with one of those obligatory "i should update this more" intros because I'm tired of saying it and you're probably just as tired of reading it.Today my co-workers and I were in Livonia working on a mayoral campaign. This was the first real fund raising events I've ever worked and it was more interesting that I thought.
I've just got to ask, what is the deal with people who don't have to work during the day or retired still being in a bathrobe at 12:30 in the afternoon? put some damn clothes on! or just don't answer the door.
Thankfully the houses we were knocking on were supporters of the candidate already so we didn't have to convince anyone as to why they needed to vote for her. I don't think I could've made it through the day doing that, especially since I'm completely unfamiliar with the area except that it's white and conservative.
We finally arrived back in Lansing around 10pm and I'm just completely exhausted.
I think for now I'm going to go play some more with the laptop and call it a night.
