dog days

It's been a couple of days since I've added anything to this blog but thats okay because no one is really reading it anyway. I don't want anyone to know about it yet until I have enough content to make it worthwhile anyway. This has to be at least the sixth or seventh time I've started a personal blog/journal and usually I get bored with it a week later. I'm really going to put forth a better effort this time. (yeah right)

Anyway, this past holiday weekend was good, I had actually taken Thursday and Friday off from work so along with Memorial Day I had a nice 5 day weekend to myself while only using 14 hours of E.T.O. so rock on! I didn't really go anywhere as I only had a limited money and wasn't going to recieve a paycheck until the 31st but I was able to sit around at home doing nothing which is really what I wanted to do anyway. Along the way I was able to play a couple rounds of golf (I'm not very good but I do enjoy it and would play more if I could afford it), go to the zoo, eat some food off the grill, and play videogames. Memorial Day itself sucked only for the 93 degree weather we had. I must've taken 3 baths that day since anytime I left my room my clothes were sticking to me and I just felt gross. Also the realization I would have to come back into work the following day was not very pleasant to think about.

Oh well, at least summer is here, now if I could only find a pool to lay in until August.

confessions of a sports junkie

Damn!

The Pistons drop Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals but at least the Tigers are ahead of the Royals going into the 9th inning.

I've been so uninterested in the Pistons these days, I dont know what it is. First of all this playoff format is just TOO DAMN LONG! who really wants to watch 2 months of NBA playoffs at this time of year? Secondly I get bored cheering for a team that is favored to win the championship year after year. I guess I'm more of a fairweather fan than I thought. My attention is clearly on baseball (my first sports love). Give me a call if the Pistons make it to the NBA Finals otherwise "Play Ball!"

happy hour is now enforced by law

This morning I was witness to two people buying 40's of budweiser and magum at 7:30 in the morning. I'm all for getting your drink on but that was a little ridiculous.

Even still I was able to sucessfully hold in my laughter.

I guess

this could be the start of something big!
